On behalf of the Board Members of the South Bay Raiders Booster club, we would like to extend our gratitude to all those loyal members who keep coming back year after year and renewing their membership. This is what keeps this flagship sailing, through-out the storms of the season we remain strong and on course.

IText Box: First off, let me extend a huge RAIDER NATION greeting to all of our returning members who continue to stay loyal and show up year in and year out supporting our South Bay Raider Booster Club.  With the 2008 season around the corner we are all excited to the fullest on what looks to be an awesome year for our Oakland Raiders!!  With the signings and re-signings of new and returning players this season looks to be as optimistic as those of years past.  Most notable of our off season signings was that of our first round draft pick Darren McFadden who wasted no time

Text Box: This is why we stress our continued support from all the members to show up at all the events so we can have a strong representation from the South Bay.  As some of you may or may not know, we are planning to go up as a whole to Oakland for two games this year, one being the season opener on Monday Night, Sept. 8th versus the Denver Broncos and second, Sunday, December 14th against the New England Patriots.  Tickets are presently sold out but we are working on some things to see about accommodating anyone else who might want to attend the Season Opener (No Promises!). Unfortunately, tickets that were originally promised to us we did not receive so as promised with the purchase of your ticket the tailgate Party in Oakland will be fully taken care of and the club (cont. pg 3)  Text Box:  Your contribution has been greatly appreciated and our new board members definitely have big shoes to fill. We are looking to stay in contact with many of them to unify all Booster Club’s up and down Cali to let any and all know that the Raider Nation never dies, ONLY MULTIPLIES!!  Board Members recently attended the Justin Fargas awards dinner out in Oakland as Fargas received the annual player of the year award for his last year’s performance.  It was a great time and many contacts were made with various Booster Clubs up and down California.  We are looking to stay in contact with many of them to unify all Booster Club’s up and down Cali to let any and all know that the Raider Nation never dies, ONLY MULTIPLIES!! Text Box:  Now, to get down to the SBRBC business at hand.  Let us all extend a huge welcome to the following new Board Members.  Coming on as our new Public Relations is “Raider Raymond” Terrones who will be taking the place of our previous P.R. man, Marcellus “Celly Cell” Kendrick, who has stepped up taking over as the Vice President.  Also coming on board is Carlos “It’s Not My Job” Mendoza who has joined our SBRBC board as the Assistant Activity Coordinator.  Lastly, taking over as the new Executive Coordinator is Fatima “I Got This” Terrones.  Between Fatima and Carlos they will be responsible in ensuring that all of our events stay as enjoyable as possible throughout the year.  A Super Huge Thank You goes out to our former Executive Coordinator, Melanie Enriquez, who for years held things down for the club and our events.

Text Box: WILL BE PROVIDING THE BEER, WITHIN A REASONABLE LIMIT.  For more info regarding the seats we did get, please see the home page.  We want to thank those who brought out donations for the swap meet.  We represented the club on Sunday, June 29th and it was a huge success.  We are tentatively planning for the next swap meet event on August 8th or 9th so please, if you can, donate whatever you can and feel free to bring the items to the August 2nd Pre-Season celebration. For any info regarding events, check out our events calendar as it is updated frequently as events come along.  In the most near future on Sunday, July 27th, we are going to be attending a “Sunday Morning Menudo” with Magic 92.5’s Xavier the X-Man and we encouraging as many members as possible to show up and represent for our SBRBC.  Text Box: The Menudo is from 8:30am to 11:30am and we are planning a caravan from the Stargazer at 8:00am that morning to the Taco shop which is located at 60 East J Street in Chula Vista, next to Hilltop Middle School.  We encourage you all if you can’t make it for the caravan to show up as early as possible as parking is limited.  Lastly, we want to wish a Big Happy Birthday to the following members for the month of July:  Fatima (July 9th), Carlos (July 17th), Albert (July 23rd), Dolores (July 25th).  If your name was not mentioned, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you also.  From the South Bay Raider Booster Club, again, we want to extend a huge thank you to all of its members and please continue to come and out and show support, stay up on the events calendar so we can all get together, and as you all already know … Text Box: R A I D E R   N A T I O N   F O R   L I F E ! ! ! !
